Swimming lessons for children aged 2 – 5
Together we create water happy and safe children
The movement pattern of the different swimming styles differs and therefore different styles can be introduced at different ages. The simplest movements, from a motor point of view, can be found in the crawl and backstroke, which is why these swims are suitable for younger children.
In each course, we break down the sims into smaller parts and practise them individually, gradually putting the exercises together to form a whole. We will go through many different exercises, of which there are endless variations that can be adapted to each child, their age and previous experience. This means that all children can do the same exercise but in slightly different ways.
Learning to swim takes different amounts of time and this course is best taken several times. Since the exercises are adapted at the start of each course (and continuously during the course) so that the child always receives “just the right” amount of stimulation, you are always building on the knowledge that already exists.
We know that children who have fun learn to swim faster. That’s why we weave the basics of swimming into games, mischief and song. On our courses, we have a parent in the water, which gives the child the confidence to learn to trust the water and its viability.
